| Cleopatra and Frankenstein |
✨Cleo, a twenty-four-year-old British painter🎨🖌️, has fled England🏴 for New York🇺🇸 and is still figuring out her position in the restless city when she meets Frank a few months before her student visa expires. Frank's life is full of all the indulgences that Cleo's lacks, despite being twenty years older and a self-made success. He gives her the opportunity to be joyful, the freedom to paint, and the possibility to apply for a green card🟩. However, their hasty marriage🥴 irreparably alters both their lives and the lives of those close to them in ways they could never have foreseen.
✨Other Characters include- Quentin, Zoe, and Anders.
✨Zoe ❤️ is an absolutely delightful person. I loved her character.
✨Through Cleo and Frank the book shows that we can be friends with our exes, we might not be compatible with them, but that does not make them bad people. Just because we cannot be together as life partners does not mean that we should not respect each other.
✨Mental Health and LGBTQIA+ are the major themes of this novel. These themes are also interlinked.
✨Overall, I would rate it 4/5- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
✨A tip to read this book- go for slow reading where you are there in every scene, I had to read it speedily due to which I could not enjoy it as much as I would've.
🌀(I'm so sorry that this review is a bit fragmented, as I've literally posted whatever I wrote in a flow. Thank u so much for reading 🫰🏼)
