 Threads- A New Social Media App or doppelganger of an existing one?


Threads is a new app launched by Mark Zuckerberg on 6th, July, 2023.

It's called ‘Threads’, because here people write and post what they are thinking, then other people reply to it and it grows like a thread. Its a Microblogging platform that can be proven the best to share short-written content.


This app can prove to be very helpful for building community, sharing thoughts, etc


It is more or less exactly like Twitter, except for color themes.


How to get Threads?


You can get it from Instagram, google Play Store, and App Store for IOS users. 


How to get Threads from Instagram

To get it from Instagram, we need to open our Instagram, go to the ‘Explore’ tab, then search threads. On the right side, a ticket would appear- clock on it and the app would be installed. After that, you can set up your profile or import data from Instagram.


On Threads, you’ll also be able to find the same people that follow you on your Instagram.


Now some people might have not liked the app, but they still can’t delete their account because it's linked to their Instagram; i.e. to delete their Threads account, they have to delete their Instagram account.


However, 

is it the end of Twitter?


There is no correct answer to it as of now, only time will tell. However, personally, I think that many people are already on Twitter, and most Millennials still prefer Facebook over Instagram. Similarly, I think the people who are already using Twitter would continue to use it. They would not prefer threads immediately.
